Having always wanted to set up his own business, the opportunity presented itself for Managing Director John Roberts when he was made redundant. Setting up as an appointed representative of Ten Insurance Services means John can offer his clients a wide range of insurance policies, be an independent insurance broker and offer his clients a local and personal touch.

For East Yorkshire Insurance Brokers, it is about giving that personal touch, building relationships and having conversations with clients to ensure their needs are met and that they understand their insurance requirements.

Why Did They Choose Hull Youth Support Trust?

After several months of trading, I started contemplating whether I wanted to work from home long term or move into an office, eventually sold on the support provided at HYST. It made sense from a financial standpoint, as the heavily discounted rent means I can focus on growing the business without worrying about running costs.

Since then, I have been able to focus on work and building relationships with the businesses in the centre to help my grow my business and giving me that extra push to go out there and make the next call or business move. At the end of the day, that is what makes it all worthwhile.
