The Partnership…

What do they do?

Hull Food Partnership brings together, public, private and community organisations interested in promoting good quality, sustainable, nutritious food in Hull. Working across the city to support access to food for those in need and raising the profile of better food for everyone.

Why They Started The Partnership…

Originating in 2013, Hull Food Partnership joined the Sustainable Food Places UK-wide network and was presented with the Bronze Sustainable Food City Award in 2019. The need for a co-ordinated approach to food sustainability and poverty in Hull was recognised with support from Hull City Council and Reckitts to develop a Food Strategy for the city.

Why Did They Choose Hull Youth Support Trust?

Rooted in Hull is the host organisation of Hull Food Partnership and we have been able to share office space with them here at HYST. Subsequently, it has been useful to have a city-centre location as a base and use the meeting room, as well as having access to Rooted in Hull’s urban, horticultural project on St Peter Street.
